What Is Domain Registration?
Your website requires a domain for your clients to view it. This is a unique name that identifies your website, for example www.yourbusinessname.com. This registration is with a central authority and is for one, two or more years. You never own a domain name, but you have exclusive use of it for the amount of time you register for.
Should I Choose a .COM, a .COM.AU or Something Else?
It depends on your market. If it is purely Australian you might like to choose a .COM.AU as the ‘.AU’ denotes an Australian website. If it incorporates local and overseas, you might choose a .COM which has more global applications. Of course you may choose both and point them both to the same website.
